Job Description: Account Manager
Reports To: Branch Manager
Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for exceeding customer expectations by effective management of the financial and human resources appropriated to them. The position ensures the performance of Gachina Quality Standards and the management of all resources to achieve confidence and exceptional service for their clients.
Priorities:
1. Develop and Maintain a Strong Team
• Evaluate team strengths and limitations, augment as appropriate
• Ensure proper development of Crew Leaders and client relationship - ensure relationship is successful and fosters trust
• Mentor Crew Leaders and crew team members to ensure effective implementation of Gachina quality standards
• Perform timely annual performance evaluations and personnel development
strategies
• Identify team members with potential for growth/career path
• Foster a cohesive team of Operations and Administrative staff to ensure quick response for client expectations and quality production
• Support timely and accurate implementation of procedures and paperwork
2. Gachina Customer Service Standards
• Establish role as client's primary, responsible, point-of-contact
• Instill Customer Confidence
• Foster the performance of Exceptional Service among team members
• Mentor Crew Leaders in building long-term client relationships
• Provide assurance that contract obligations, quality standards and expectations are fulfilled.
• Provide support to team members in performing and completing all client projects - we are the experts, they are seeking our advice
3. Gachina Quality Standards
• Ensure Gachina Quality Standards are met by all team members for all clients
• Accountable for profitability by diligent monitoring and analysis of estimating and productivity
• Manages control system to ensure extra billable work is performed in a timely, accurate and profitable manner
• Assists with the development and implementation of long-term enhancement objectives of sites in designated market area
• Manages direct cost of sites in designated market area, meeting budget goals and business objectives
• Manage service crews, support crews and administrative staff to satisfy contract obligations and ensure responsive concern for client expectations
• Ensure extra billable work is performed and processed in a timely manner
Summary of Specific
Responsibilities:
I. Management of Accounts
A. Maintains standards and ensures quality
B. Implement procedures and processes, and coordinate routine and long-term tasks and schedules.
C. Maintain relationship with client as primary contact for all maintenance and enhancement activities.
II. Estimating/Sales
A. Provide data for maintenance proposals and pricing
B. Development and implementation of estimating operational standards
C. Initiate enhancements in coordination with long-term objectives
III. Job Costing of Accounts
A. Schedule and monitor performance, measuring budget to actual costs
B. Ensure contract compliance
IV. Personnel
A. Recruit, hire and develop maintenance team
B. Maintain standards of performance and initiate periodic evaluations
C. Represent company in professional groups/associations
D. Maintain active contact with people and trends in the industry that affect operations
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
BS Degree (or equivalent) or 4 years experience in landscape maintenance preferred
Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong communication skills - English verbal, written and reading comprehension
Ability to develop strong client and employee relationships
Hands on approach to task management, employee and customer interaction
Strong time management and organizational skills
Strong analytical skills, ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
Responsive to client's needs and requests - build customer rapport
Preferred:
Certifications in Landscape Maintenance and Irrigation
Qualified Applicator License
Bi-lingual Spanish
