Platform Engineer The Opportunity :

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management sof tware to solvesome of our clients'toughest challenges. As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your te chn ical skills to affect mission-forward change.On our team, you'llhone your skills using the latest cloud te chn ologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment with current container sof tware to ensure seamless orchestration.

Using your DevOpsplatform experience, you'll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. You'll develop platform architecture to efficiently address current and expected requirements and justifies approach with business value analysis.Additionally, you'llcontinue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

5+ years of experience with DevOps, AWS, Java, and scripting

5+ years of experience with Linux, Docker, OpenShift, and Ansible

Experience with researching, raising questions, and working with technical SMEs and vendors to seek best practices and solid technical decisions

TS/ SCI clearance

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

DoD 8570.01 Certification, including Security+, Linux, AWS, or Microsoft

Nice If You Have:

Experience with developing and supporting scripts for administering resources

Ability to build automation to support product development and data analytics initiatives

Ability to identify new and emerging technologies for adoption and drive consistent code reviews

Ability to continually research current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS / SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
