Position Summary
The candidate in this position is responsible for supporting and executing project plans for AnaptysBio’s pipeline of antibody development programs. Responsibilities include planning, implementation, and driving the development and execution of high-quality, realistic, cross-functional activities and supporting internal project teams to progressively advance development of novel therapeutic antibodies according to established timelines.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate closely with senior management, project team leaders, and functions to define and execute project(s) strategy, and ensure projects achieve key deliverables and progress toward milestones and regulatory filings in alignment with company timelines
Accountable for the integrated cross functional plan and its vision as the single source of program information
Ensure global, cross functional thinking and appropriate analytical rigor in the development of program strategies
Conduct program level scenario planning including pros/cons, impact to cost/resources, recommendation, and rationale
Collaborate with alliances, where applicable in activities with partnering, in-license, out-license, due diligence, joint meeting preparation eg. scheduling, agendas, minutes, action items, etc.
Drive the development of contingency and risk mitigation plans
Manage and track progress of internal project plans, generate regular status updates, and communicate progress, issues and risk mitigation plans to senior management
Develop, manage, and communicate the program plan and ensure alignment across functions and alliances
Manage operational aspects of ad hoc and sub team meetings as deemed appropriate
Drive the development of team internal communication plans
Distribute meeting agendas, drive meetings, publish meeting minutes, and track action items through completion
Proactively identify impediments to team effectiveness and drive the development of related solutions and ensure team commitment to team effectiveness improvements.
Escalate program and team issues to stakeholders, as appropriate
Forecast and monitor project budgets and provide reconciliation of actual expenses to budget in collaboration with Finance, if required
Perform and/or facilitate functional activities as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a relevant technical/scientific field
Advanced degree preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training
10 years of combined technical and program/project management experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing cross functional drug development teams
Preferred global experience within all phases (end to end) of drug development and commercialization process knowledge
Knowledge & Competencies:
Strong understanding and knowledge of issues associated with biologics drug development with advanced understanding of other functions; including, but not limited to Research, Pre-Clinical, Clinical, Manufacturing and Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs
Experience in alliance management e.g. partnering, in licensing, and out licensing, etc.
Strong knowledge and experience with MS Project and One Pager Pro to develop and manage integrated project plans and generate GANTT timelines
Demonstrated ability to apply a broad and integrated perspective when planning, problem solving, and assessing impact across functional areas, including the identification of potential issues and risk mitigation strategies
Demonstrated ability to drive cross functional activities such as integrated plan(s)
Experience in developing agendas, driving meetings, publish meeting minutes, and track action items through completion
Experience in performing scenario planning including decision analysis
Therapeutic area knowledge preferred, but not required
Application of Project Management tools, methodologies, practices
Proficiency working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong leadership, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills with ability to interact at all levels of the organization (internally and externally)
Ability to think strategically across functions towards successful completion of program activities
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams and functions from program concept to completion
Seasoned interpersonal and relationship management skills capable of fostering positive, open relationships with internal and external key stakeholders

Travel
Approximately 10% travel (domestic and international) may be required
