About the Role
The Vice President of Preconstruction at the company will be a pivotal leader, responsible for managing an extensive pipeline of PV solar and ESS projects. This role involves coordinating with internal E&C teams for the planning, estimating, and design of solar PV solutions in the Americas. The successful candidate will be expected to continuously improve operational excellence, establish and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders, and be accountable for developing and executing cost-reduction programs. Additionally, the Vice President will be involved in collaboration with the procurement, project management, engineering, and construction teams to enhance design efficiency and resolve technical issues. Mentoring a large, diverse cross-functional team and overseeing a broad network of suppliers and partners are also key aspects of the position. The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Preconstruction role should have a fundamental construction and engineering background with direct experience in leading preconstruction and estimating efforts for MW scale ground mount PV and ESS power plants. They must be adept at managing day-to-day operations, providing executive-level mentorship, and leading a team through comprehensive training and development. Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
