Director Project Management

We are looking for a seasoned Project manager to oversee project management services within an assigned geographic market, program, or client account to achieve strategic business objectives.
Key project delivery focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.

EBITDA (3-year average):
LMA: Less than $200,000 USD
GCS: Less than $500,000 USD
Geography: Typically local or regional
Annual Average CAPEX Cash Flow Under Management:
LMA: Typically less than $25M USD
GCS: Typically less than $75M USD
Supervised by a Senior Director, Managing Director, or Senior Managing Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Performance: Responsible for the financial performance of the market, program, and client accounts, including budgeting, actual results, forecasting, and reporting. Manage billing, accounts receivable collection, expense control, staffing, and full P&L to EBITDA before allocations.
Client Interaction: Regularly interact with clients to ensure goals and objectives are established and achieved. Develop and implement action plans to correct variances, anticipate client needs, and respond accordingly.
Staff Management: Lead project management staff in the market, ensuring thorough understanding and implementation of operations, policies, and procedures. Supervise, coach, train, and motivate direct reports and work groups. Responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation.
Project Management: Oversee all phases of project management, including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout. Focus on scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
Business Development: Develop new business growth and maintain existing business relationships. Pursue business opportunities, integrate with other business lines, and cross-sell services to achieve strategic business objectives.
Corporate Governance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance policies and procedures. Oversee contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout.
Risk Management: Identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate risks.
Reporting: Prepare accurate, timely, and complete reports for clients and the company.
Community Involvement: Participate in civic and business organizations. Maintain relationships with industry and trade associations, vendors, and professional organizations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manage planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department.
Approve subordinate recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination.
Monitor appropriate staffing levels and human resource utilization.
Lead and support staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisal, and retention.
Model behaviors consistent with the company's values.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/Bang/BArch) required. Minimum of eight years of related progressive experience and/or training. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: LEED AP, PMP, or CCM preferred.
Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Effective response to sensitive issues, writing reports and manuals, making presentations, and motivating and negotiating with employees and clients.
Financial Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Review and develop complex financial/business analysis and reports. Implement financial policies and procedures.
Reasoning Ability: Solve advanced problems, analyze complex situations, and develop strategic solutions. Make recommendations impacting the company.
Other Skills: Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
Scope of Responsibility: Make decisions with an in-depth understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices. Set project, department, and/or division deadlines. Errors in judgment may have a long-term impact.
