Gilbane is seeking aProgram Director to bethe head of all project activities, holding overall accountability for the successful, congruent delivery of the program, with the primary objective of ensuring the integration of all construction project partners, systems, business structures and practices, harnessing the talents and insights of all participants to optimize project results, increase value for the owner, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities

Leadership:

- Effectively conveys projects vision through a variety of appropriate communication methods

- Communicates ongoing, accurate, complete, and clear information to all stakeholders regarding the reason for change and the implementation process of change, from C-Suite to Project Engineer level

- Inspires the organization through both written and verbal messages, conveys public information appropriately in a positive manner

- Creates and maintains infuential relations through efective communication

- Ensures alignment of communication, processes, resources, and systems across the project with vision and direction

- Diagnoses gaps in knowledge, experience, skills and behaviour that underlie current and future performance

- Fosters corporation across project teams and removes barriers to partnerships and teamwork that inhibit fulflment of project goals and priorities

- Formulates clear decision criteria; evaluates options by considering implications and consequencesand chooses efective option

- Frequently articulates the benefts of an inclusive workplace culture with employees and other leaders

- Instils passion and commitment toward a common goal that is built upon an established foundation of trust

Operational/ Delivery:

- Oversees all construction activities on the project, ensuring the project has adequate operational strategies in place to achieve the desired expectations

- Creates culture and champion onsite safety to the 'Gilbane Cares' philosophy

- Anticipates technical issues that may arise and ofers expert advice on technical construction elements

Commercial/ Contractual:

- Manages risk and controls expenses to ensure overall proftability in alignment with objectives

- Holds overall responsibility for project P&L and fnancial reporting

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

- BS or MS Degree in Engineering or Construction Management

- LEED Accredited highly preferred

- +25 years' building construction experience

- Experience leading large scale construction programs (150M+) required

- Experience of working as Construction Manager at Risk & Design Build

- High levels of technical construction acumen

- Strong business acumen and decision-making skills

- Able to identify and adapt best leadership and communication style to achieve best results from diverse team with diferent levels of communication styles

- Able to articulate understanding of the broad impact of decisions within the project and efectively direct key stakeholders appropriately

- Able to model active listening skills and extract information

- Able to cultivate an environment of trust, hard work and teamwork

- Able to communicate as efectively in spontaneous or unrehearsed settings as in prepared ones
