Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Proposal Manager, the Grant and Proposal Writer will write technical proposals and prepare supporting documentation and reports to meet grant and technical guidelines. The writer also analyzes Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and develops management and/or technical volume responses.
Salary: $50,080 USD
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Site: On Site. New Britain, CT
Reports to: Proposal Manager
Essential Duties:
Prepare grant and technical proposal responses relating to requests for proposals (RFPs) from federal, State, foundation, commercial, and local entities.
Perform independent background research and conduct internet searches on competitors.
Be resourceful in gaining knowledge and understanding of the services, programs, and population that comprise CW Group, Inc.
Displaying adherence to the organization's mission.
Based on executive and senior leadership input, develop themes, discriminators, and key success factors.
Develop proposal features, benefits, and graphics.
Resolve issues between authors or team members using a collaborative approach.
Assist with quality improvement and special projects as determined by the Proposal Manager.
Submit copy of proposal to Proposal Manager regularly and make edits as required to respond to RFP requirements.
Editing and revising proposals according to feedback.
Other Duties as required.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
BA/BS Degree in a related field (Preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of technical proposal writing experience with federal and state RFPs as well as foundation/private grant proposals.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.
Knowledge and experience with Salesforce (Preferred)
Must be able to take and provide constructive criticism of writing.
Must have an advanced understanding of proper English grammar and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be highly creative and innovative and provide quick-reaction responses.

While performing the duties of this job, the Proposal Writer will have to use required technology and electronic devices, sit, stand, and occasionally move throughout the building and travel to local sites. As well as, be required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing (speaking and hearing), fulfilling the job's duties.
