National Account Manager West

Existing connections and contacts within the Westcoast footprint Grocery and Liquor Chains are highly valued. · The ideal candidate is a fast-paced, energetic, people-person who can create and grow strong relationships in a brief period. The Candidate should be an initiative-taker with an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to aggressively attain targeted Chain Account appointments. · The candidate must be willing to travel 50% of the time to address the business requirements. · Conduct analysis and develop presentations that increase Company feature and display activity, expand distribution, and optimize shelf position that increases volume and market share. · Use category management expertise to maximize distribution, shelf presence, and cold box presence in all assigned accounts. Nielsen, IRI, and VIP experiences are necessary. Experienced in National Account portals and NIF for the call points in this region. · Proactively execute customer development strategies as identified by Marketing & Senior management. · Initiate regular correspondence to communicate chain account opportunities, progress, and setbacks to all impacted field sales and distributor personnel. · Work with the field sales team to develop and communicate chain execution expectations and standards for distributor partners. · Maintain and analyze market data through Nielsen and VIP regarding account and product performance. Report portfolio opportunities with ROI to senior management.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field · 5+ years of experience in National Account sales, in the beer or beverage, consumer industry · Have established business connections and relationships within the Grocery, Liquor, C-Store, and Club channels. · Headquarters and buyer relationships within the Westcoast States Grocery, Liquor, and Convenience channels preferred. · Proven analytical and category management skills. · Ability to effectively utilize business information reporting tools, especially Nielsen, VIP, and Consumer Insights data. · Excellent computer skills across Microsoft Office and internal data systems. · Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (oral & written). · Good organizational, planning, and follow-up skills. · Solid understanding of requirements to deliver profitable business. · Travel (50%) is necessary, have good credit, own a dependable vehicle, and have a valid driver’s license.
Can reside in NorCal, AZ, or CO
