**JOB SUMMARY**

Welcome to ONEOK! The successful Technician Intern candidate will receive training and exposure with various types of equipment, processes, and applications. This internship will focus on all preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair/replacement, and project activities throughout the Houston area. The Internship will include a variety of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation experiences. This is an opportunity to apply your educational knowledge directly and gain field experience to prepare for becoming a full-time Technician in the industry! **Job Profile Summary**

Based on area of assignment interns provide field support in a variety of functional areas inclusive of: Pipeline Operations, Pipeline Integrity, Mechanical Integrity, Mechanical Maintenance; Measurement, Corrosion, Instrumentation, Plant Operations, Construction as well as other related disciplines.

With supportive guidance and mentoring Interns are provided the opportunity to engage to obtaining first-hand knowledge and experience.

Internships are designed to augment college learning by further educating students in teamwork, problem solving skills, work ethics, adaptability, communication, responsibility, time management, organization, perseverance and motivation as well as commercial awareness and business acumen.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**

+ Assist in a wide range of responsibilities inclusive of job shadowing, preparing reports, analyzing data, learning about various operational, technical, and/or business-related compliance, regulatory, and/or technical components.

+ Assist with development of presentations, trainings, knowledge sharing, and/or other administrative responsibilities

+ Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

**Education**

+ Bachelor’s or higher degree related to the internship area should be under pursuit or have been obtained
