As a valuable member of our transportation team, you will be primarily responsible for performing an array of tasks for roadway projects in support of State DOTs, Counties, Cities, and other municipalities. You could sit in our Middletown or Shelton , Connecticut offices. We offer a hybrid work environment and flexible Fridays in the summer.

Our Transportation Team and Projects

Transportation is essential to our daily lives. Our goal is to help people get where they need to be – smoothly, safely, and quickly. We have nearly 100 professional engineers providing traffic engineering, roadway & bridge design, and transportation planning services to state DOTs as well as regional, municipal, private and institutional clients throughout the Northeast to reach that goal.

What will you be doing?

You will apply knowledge of engineering to assist in the design highways, interchanges, roadways, streets, intersections, roundabouts, and other transportation-related infrastructure. You will be tasked with performing engineering calculations from preliminary to final design. Working with the project team, you will develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.

What do you need?

You will need a BS in civil engineering with 5 years of experience in the design of roadway, bridge and multi-modal transportation improvement projects including experience developing construction bid documents for transportation projects for MassDOT and municipalities in Massachusetts. You will need registration as a Connecticut Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain licensure within one year; licensure in other New England states considered a differentiator.
