Manager of Grants

Overview:
The Manager of Grants for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas (PPGT) is responsible for the preparation and oversight of grants for the organization. Ensures productivity expectations, customer service and compliance standards are maintained. Abides by the organizations mission in performing job duties. Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service.
This position may be filled in either our Austin or Dallas admin locations.
Responsibilities:
Manages all grant preparation and submission and grant reporting for the organization.
Maintains a grant submission calendar and deadlines for new submissions and grant reports which is integrated into the overall Development annual plan and addresses the organizations ongoing and emerging fundraising needs.
Responsible for the grants budget in conjunction with supervisor and VP of Philanthropy.
Responsible for the development of grant proposals to local and national foundations
Supervises Grants Specialist staff to ensure that grant applications and reports are completed accurately, submitted by grant timelines and meets annual grant goals.
Identifies and defines grant funding sources to support existing and planned program activities.
Conducts the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals and reports.
Performs prospect research on foundations, other funding sources to evaluate prospects for grants.
Comply with and track all grant reporting as required by funding sources.
Maintain current records in database, including grant tracking and reporting.
Track statistics relevant to development and provide department with written materials necessary for donor stewardship.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree + 1 year of related exempt experience, or
Associates degree + 3 years of related exempt experience, or
High School diploma or equivalent + 7 years of related exempt experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Related exempt experience in any of the following: fundraising, development, sales, marketing, customer service management, event management or related.
