Award-winning MG Properties is searching for a Regional Vice President of Operations to join our team and oversee our growing portfolio!
The RVP- Operations will be responsible for completing a variety of functions to support the daily operations across six states. The right candidate has experience in a broad range of property management.
Responsibilities
Direct oversight of Regional Managers within the specified portfolio.
Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartment/property management.
Recruiting, hiring, training and developing key personnel at each property; carry out all personnel related matters according to Federal, State, local and company guidelines.
Coach employees to a high level of performance.
Implementation and follow up of all policies and procedures established by the Company.
Maintain thorough knowledge of relevant markets, including competing properties, employment trends and new development.
Ensure the physical properties are well maintained and capital improvements are recommended and carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Analyze and compile various reports and metrics using company software programs measuring results and ensuring maximum effectiveness.
Preparation of annual budgets for each property; maintaining control of expenditures; reviewing monthly operating statements and writing reports to owners; preparation of monthly cash flow projections; preparation of capital expenditure recommendations and overseeing implementation if necessary; and accurately prepare and convey all required operational and financial data to the Executive Team in a timely manner.
Participates in the evolution of technology and new policies and procedures throughout the company.
Participates in due diligence process for new acquisitions
Close and effective interaction with all departments towards company goals
Recommends solutions and innovations for effective and efficient improvements to P&P, process etc.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
Must have at least 5+ years in a Regional Manager role, managing multiple states.
Travel Required. Travel to property sites including out of state locations is estimated at 50% of the time.
Strong marketing, customer service, pricing and sales skills required.
Must have effective team building and employee development skills.
Excellent communication with all levels of staff a must!
Candidate must be service- and solution-oriented and have a proven results-driven track record.
Must possess excellent financial and business acumen.
Proven leadership traits and skills a must.
Experience managing multiple markets/states is required. Soft market skill experience a must!
Excellent computer skills required, Yardi Voyager and Institutional experience a plus.
Valid driver’s license and insurance certification is required.
Compensation and Benefits
$170,000-$190,000/annually
