Director of Contracts - Stock Plan Services
Role
In this role you will provide counsel to Fidelity Workplace Services, taking ownership for the negotiation of diverse types of service and transactional documents with our equity compensation and retirement plan sponsor clients. You will work with a dynamic and collaborative team of highly skilled professionals in Sales, Relationship Management, Operations, Finance, Product Management, Compliance, Finance and Corporate Legal to reach desired business goals of Fidelity, while mitigating risk.
The Expertise You Have
Effective speaking, presentation, and contract drafting, review and negotiations skills
Keen knowledge of U.S. securities laws, rules and regulations, and data privacy laws
High level interpersonal and diplomacy skills
Minimum of 5-8 years of shown experience, preferably including brokerage, compliance/legal experience
Requires a four (4) year college degree, JD strongly preferred
Law firm or equivalent experience preferred

Sharp oral and written communication skills, in particular the ability to simplify complex contract issues for straightforward, practical analysis and resolution

Curiosity about developing skills to provide contract support to other WI Service lines in the employee benefits space
The Value You Deliver You will be a critical member of the WI Contract Team
You will collaborate with a small team of contract attorneys in the United States and United Kingdom to support Fidelity's goals of retaining and acquiring new equity compensation clients.
You will effectively lead to completion the drafting, negotiation, and execution of a range of agreements, including NDA's, services agreements, data privacy agreements and other documentation on behalf of Fidelity
You will serve as the face of Fidelity in contract discussions with clients and provide one of the first customer experiences for prospective clients
You will use your analytic and creativity skills to find compromise in opposing perspectives that satisfy the clients' needs while protecting Fidelity
You will build cross-company relationships and work closely with a team of professionals to deliver outstanding service to our business
You will assist in supporting certain administrative functions such as reporting, contract process/retention management, etc.
You will stay primed, and be a trusted advisor on, legal and regulatory changes that impact Fidelity's provision of equity compensation services
You will serve as a reliable subject matter authority for contractual issues and questions from business partners.
