Randstad Federal is seeking a VOIP Engineer for a hybrid-position located in Washington, DC. This role is supporting a prestigious federal customer and requires a Active Security Clearance.
Required Experience/Qualifications for the VOIP Engineer:
Must possess a current, active government clearance of Secret or greater.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent.
4+ years of experience supporting VOIP and Video Teleconferencing infrastructures
Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously develop, deploy, and coordinate multiple projects, demonstrable by work history.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – in the English language.
Responsibilities for the VOIP Engineer:
Operate, maintain, and perform sustaining engineering for telephone system infrastructure including basic services (operational configuration, engineering and maintenance of analog, digital telephone, and VoIP switching system); and corrective/preventative maintenance of telephone instruments and drops.
Support existing and future VoIP requirements, including VoIP phones (including physical phones, softphones and WiFi phones), associated call processors, E911 services, and gateway systems.
Supply VoIP services to on-site and off-site DOC entities which have supportable LAN services and have been approved by the COTR for VoIP services.
Support the VoIP systems interfaces and provide required programming to facilitate connectivity.
Provide logging and blocking security services via a telephone firewall. The contractor shall review the logs and make recommendations to identify DOC telecommunications personnel and implement changes and rule-based policies as directed by the COTR.
