The Opportunity
Nutanix, a leader in enterprise hybrid cloud, is looking to hire a curious and innovative SDET with experience in automation development and execution to qualify our AIOps product/features. The role is tasked with test planning, test case development, and test execution strategy to assess and improve the overall quality of our products in the AI/ML area. This requires close collaboration with Development, UI/UX engineers, and the PM team. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging broad knowledge of the product portfolio and ensuring a quality-first mindset.
Nutanix AIOps team Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) Intelligent Operations (AIOps) is an end-to-end consumer-grade management and operations solution for virtualized data center environments that brings unprecedented simplicity by combining several aspects of administration, reporting, and intelligent automation for IT Operations. NCM intelligently plans and optimizes for capacity, proactively detects performance anomalies, and enables codeless automation of operational tasks. These capabilities are powered by machine learning and work with major ITSM tools. Also included in the operations tiers are advanced application insights and automation for troubleshooting applications.
Your Role
Develop test plan design and test case development for AIOps products.
Define automation plan and test strategy within release timelines.
End-to-end product quality ownership with all aspects of the test, automation, and delivery of the feature set.
Improve existing automated tests and overall automated test execution efficiency.
Maintain a high overall quality index(QI) for the product/features at all times.
Ability to delve deeper into debugging product issues with development engineers.
Involve providing active feedback to improve the overall product experience.
Debugging, filing bugs, and tracking them to closure.
What will you bring
Minimum of 1 - 2 yrs of experience in QA, Automation using Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (python preferred)
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field.
Good conceptual understanding of AI/ML model/techniques
Experience with Python API test framework development.
Good understanding of Linux, and Distributed Systems.
Working knowledge of virtualization - VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V
Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT, build management tools, and Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins/CircleCI
Testing experience with monitoring/cloud products is a plus
Detail-oriented, self-driven, and good verbal and written communication skills.

I had been tech lead for the AIOps QA team for several years, before taking over the responsibility of managing and owning the AIOps QA team end-to-end. During my tenure at Nutanix, I got a wonderful opportunity to qualify/automate several key projects starting from monitoring, serviceability, RBAC, application discovery, no-code Operations Automation(IFTTT based automation tool) capability to help ensure IT admins manage their data centers effectively. Also I was involved in defining CICD workflow and building tools to automate the entire process. Our team comprises versatile skill set expertise, full of energetic, and fun filled professional engineers. We are actively working on scaling up the Intelligent Ops features and the Team. Looking forward to hiring a highly collaborative, skillful, curious, innovative and motivated engineer to automate/qualify product releases with very high quality to delight our customers.

How we work
We work in a hybrid style, letting everyone in the team decide on which days to come to work. We come to the office a couple of days per week to maximize the collaboration. We are trying to minimize the number of meetings and nurture the culture of writing and sharing documents, which helped us achieve a more flexible schedule and transparent knowledge sharing. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $92,000 and $184,800/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
