About this position
This position is responsible for oversight of the organization's information technology strategy and operations. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, work both independently and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with an upbeat, positive attitude who is eager to support the organization's mission and achieve its strategic goals.
What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing the IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives;
Overseeing the management of the organization's information systems, databases, networks, and technology infrastructure;
Ensuring the security of the organization's IT systems and data, implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures;
Managing and leading the IT team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective performance;
Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation;
Working closely with other departments to understand and stay informed of their IT needs and providing solutions that enhance overall organizational efficiency;
Staying informed about technological advancements and recommend innovative solutions that can benefit the organization.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to IT and data management;
Collaborating with external vendors and service providers to obtain and maintain necessary IT services and products;
Providing training programs for staff to enhance their IT skills and promote a technology-aware culture within the organization;
Actively participating in annual in-service training;
Abiding by all of Options for Learning's policies and procedures;
Performing other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field;
Master's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field (preferred);
Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure and security protocols;
Excellent leadership and team management skills;
Effective communication and collaboration abilities;
Budgeting and financial management skills;
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards;
Proven experience in a leadership role within IT management, preferably in the nonprofit sector;
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities;
A California driver's license, daily use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance.

Job specifications
Reports to the chief financial and administrative officer;
Full-time, twelve-month work year;
Eight-hour workday;
Alternating Fridays off (every Friday off beginning July 2024);
Opportunity for hybrid-work schedule may be available and to be determined by management;
Limited evening or weekend hours may be required;
Employment, responsibilities, compensation and other factors may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the organization's contracts, or at organization discretion.
Salary
$135,000 - $154,000 per year
