**Regional Sales Manager** Location **Portland, OR** Employment duration **Full time** * Demonstrated leadership to drive sales for the region.
* Assist in the recruitment and training of new Designers (sales consultants).
* Ensure Employee Designers (Decorators) are meeting the minimum appointment and sales requirements monthly. The RSM will review appointments booked weekly.
* M onthly touch base calls required to review appointment booking rate, closing rate and total sales for all consultants. This can be a formal review, or an email summary of discussion points and actions needed with follow-up date.
* Lead follow-up for un-booked and unsold jobs.
* Answer questions regarding pricing, promotions, order entry and product knowledge.
* Coach and mentor Designers to identify opportunities to close more sales.
* Foster relationships with retail channel store management, sales associates, and in-store marketing reps to build awareness of our program to increase quality leads that result in more sales.
* Partner with corporate management and leadership to help execute sales team initiatives.
* Utilize CDI systems and reports to manage their sales team effectively and successfully.

* Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel & Teams.
* Experience with the ability to influence outcomes through networking and negotiating.
* Experience using a CRM system (SalesForce.com preferred).
* Experience working with remote sales teams and remote meeting tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype).
* Ability to understand business issues and find creative solutions.
* Ability to coach and motivate a team to bring positive results.
* Good communication, organizational, analytical and math skills.
* Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills
* Excellent multi-tasking skills with ability to shift priorities as needed daily.

* Bachelors Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
* 2+ years minimum experience managing and/or training in a sales environment
* For Canadian regions: Bilingual English/French or French Canadian is a plus
* Experience working with commissioned sales consultants
* Experience in window coverings, flooring, or other home dcor is a plus
* FSLA exempt status; regular business hours include Monday Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
* Occasional weekend or evening email/text if urgent response needed from a Designer.
* Job may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week.
* May require bending, stooping, lifting to 35 pounds (samples).
* Ability to store at least one set of samples at RSMs home office and transport to local new hires as needed.
* Requires approximately 20% daytime travel within 50-mile radius to visit retail channels and local sales team and 2 trips a year to corporate office in Portland, Oregon.
* Must be able to work from their own home/remote office with effective and reliable internet bandwidth; laptop and additional electronics equipment needed for the role will be provided.
* Must have consistent high-speed internet and ability to use online meeting tools with camera-on (Zoom, Teams, Skype).
