Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Keep abreast of accounting changes and industry trends, making necessary adaptations.
Analyze the profitability and trajectory of existing business units.
Assess potential new business ventures and investments.
Identify current and future funding requirements, presenting solutions for any shortfalls.
Lead the annual budgeting process.
Supervise annual insurance evaluations.
Drive the asset-liability management (ALCO) process.
Establish and document internal controls to ensure compliance with FDICIA and SOX regulations.
Monitor the efficacy of internal controls.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
7+ years of senior finance experience in publicly held financial institutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other relevant business software.
Strong grasp of financial forecasting, accounting principles, and data analysis.
Familiarity with FDICIA and SOX regulations.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
Capacity to multitask and make well-founded decisions in high-pressure scenarios.
