This is a full-time hybrid role for a Co-Founders at 52 CoffeeHouse : CPO, CFO, COO, and CMO

Chief Product Officer (CPO)

Location: Open to candidates from the USA, EU, or Australia

Reports to: CEO

Role Overview:

As the Chief Product Officer (CPO) at 52 CoffeeHouse, you will be responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and execution of our product roadmap. You will lead a future team of product managers, designers, and developers to ensure our products meet customer needs and align with our business objectives, creating a culturally immersive experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with our globally-inspired café concept.

Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, etc.) to deliver high-quality, culturally-inspired products.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product decisions.

Ensure the product meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Monitor product performance and implement improvements based on customers feedback.

Drive innovation and stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring our café remains a dynamic hub for cultural exchange.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in product management, preferably in a startup or café environment.

Equity-Only Compensation:

Founders' Role: During the initial phase, founders will receive compensation in the form of equity only. This aligns their interests with the long-term success of the startup.

Equity Allocation: The specific equity percentages allocated to each founder will be determined based on their contributions, roles, and the terms agreed upon in the founders' agreement.

Salary as Managers at the First Coffeehouse

Managerial Salaries:

Founders' Role: Founders who take on managerial roles at the first coffeehouse will be entitled to salaries commensurate with their responsibilities.

Salary Determination: Salaries will be benchmarked against industry standards for similar managerial positions and adjusted to fit the financial capacity of the startup during its early stages.

Example: Founders managing daily operations, finance, or marketing at the first coffeehouse may receive modest salaries to cover basic living expenses, enabling them to focus full-time on the business.

Expansion Phase (Post-Expansion Outside of Washington D.C.)

Board of Directors Salaries:

Founders' Role: Once the business expands beyond Washington D.C., founders who serve on the board of directors will start to receive salaries in addition to their equity holdings.

Salary Determination: Board salaries will be set based on the company’s financial performance, industry benchmarks, and the level of responsibility. Compensation committees or independent advisors may be used to ensure fairness and transparency.

Review Process: Salaries for board members will be reviewed and approved annually by the compensation committee or the full board to ensure alignment with company growth and financial health.

Modification of Compensation

Objective: Ensure sustainability and alignment with company resources.
