Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Project Manager Engineering, we'll count on you to:
Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently
Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
Work with Business/Accounting Managers, Project Coordinators and the Area Manager and Managing Principal for project reviews.
Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures, and for the execution of training for personnel as established by strategic plans and objectives.
Mentor local project staff that are less experienced Project Managers to help develop their professional growth. Be active in the recruitment and hiring.
Participate in the Pump Station and Pipeline Practice Group
Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in planning, designing, project engineering, project management, and construction of water treatment, wastewater, pump station, or pipeline projects.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management of water treatment, wastewater, pump station, or pipeline projects.
California PE license in Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
Strong technical and project manage background in water and wastewater pump station, transmission and distribution systems, and gravity conveyance hydraulics engineering, design, equipment, materials, startup, troubleshooting, and operation and maintenance.
Microsoft Office and Project experience
AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
Hydraulic modeling software experience
Experience with design codes such as HI, ANSI, and AWWA
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task.
Ability to work with and support cross functional project teams
Excellent communication skills and working as a team player
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
PMP Certification
Strong business development and strategic planning skills.
Experience in large scale pump station and pipeline condition assessment, design and rehabilitation

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
