Our client, a leading bank, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Risk Manager to join their Risk Management function. As part of this esteemed organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the credit risk strategy and governance framework to ensure the bank's continued success in managing risks effectively.
About the Role: As the Credit Risk Manager, you will lead the credit risk function, developing and enhancing the credit risk governance framework, methodologies, and processes. You will work closely with various stakeholders to monitor and report on credit risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with the organization's risk appetite. Additionally, you will provide valuable insights and assessments on credit risk-related matters in senior management forums.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance and develop the credit risk management framework.
Establish and maintain relevant policies and procedures.
Coordinate the maintenance and development of the ECL model and reporting.
Lead the enhancement of the credit risk stress testing framework.
Provide expert opinions on new banking products and other credit risk topics.
Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate their implementation into risk monitoring and reporting.
Provide guidance and support to team members for their skill development.
Chair senior risk committees within the credit risk domain and liaise with stakeholders.
Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding credit risk matters.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Master's degree in a quantitative subject, preferably Finance, Economics, or Econometrics.
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in credit risk management.
Knowledge and experience in risk governance framework, CRR/CRD, EBA guidelines, SREP.
Experience in building credit risk frameworks for European regulated banks.
Proficiency in credit risk models (IFRS9) and methodologies.
Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience in working with regulatory processes in DNB or ECB regulated banks preferred.
Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and a proactive mindset.
