About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Clinical Development with a focus on Hematology to provide strategic and operational leadership in the clinical development of innovative therapies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the global development strategy and execution of clinical trials, ensuring the quality and integrity of all clinical documents and regulatory submissions. This role demands a strategic leader with a strong commitment to hematology clinical research, capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing a number of Medical Directors. The VP will be a key figure in the Development Core Team, accountable for the successful execution of all cross-functional program activities. Experience in drug development, including IND and BLA/NDA submissions, and a minimum of 12 years' in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, or relevant academic experience, are required. The role also requires an advanced degree with subspecialty training in hematology/oncology, and a proven track record of leadership, collaboration, and scientific excellence.The ideal candidate for the VP, Clinical Development role at the company will have a strong background in hematology and oncology, with the ability to serve as a clinical role model and demonstrate outstanding clinical scientific knowledge. Essential qualifications include effective communication, both scientific and interpersonally, and a strong commitment to the values of the company, including a collaborative spirit and a focus on driving excellence. The role is suited to a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is results-oriented, and has a proven ability to foster teamwork and lead in a global, matrix team environment. Experience in managing study start-up, directing study team execution, and interacting with health authorities is also a key requirement. The candidate should be a strategic leader, capable of making data-driven decisions, and be adept at managing change in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
