Job Description
My client is a leading semiconductor manufacturer in Melaka. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Director to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive operations strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives, ensuring scalability and competitiveness in the semiconductor industry.
Manufacturing Optimization: Oversee all aspects of semiconductor manufacturing, including production planning, scheduling, process engineering, and quality control to meet production targets efficiently and with the highest quality standards.
Cost Management: Manage and optimize operational budgets and resources to minimize costs while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control and assurance programs, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards.
Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure the timely procurement of materials, inventory management, and logistics coordination to support production schedules.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, comply with industry regulations, and promote a culture of environmental and safety awareness.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to identify and implement process enhancements, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of manufacturing operations, providing regular updates to senior management.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate operational strategies, challenges, and achievements, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategy.
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies.
Proven track record of optimizing operations, reducing costs, and improving efficiency.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
