A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:
Equivalent to graduation from a four year college with major coursework in computer science, mathematics, business or public administration, or a field related to the department to which assigned, and two (2) years of experience in developing and modifying microcomputer applications.
Experience in computer operations, data entry or control or in an office support position using computer techniques may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, the ideal candidate will possess:
Experience with Cisco routers and switches, LAN/WAN, MPLS, VLANs and QOS in a large-scale infrastructure
Virtual server management (including Nutanix and VMware Hyperconverged technologies)
Disaster and Recovery (experience with DRAAS technologies like Rubrik/Cohesity)
Security tools (experience with MFA, ATP, CrowdStrike, VPNs, WAFs and NACs)
VOIP network support
Cloud virtualization and storage (experience with Azure/AWS)
Active Directory administration in a Hybrid AD/Azure environment, O365 services including Email and Intune
Next Generation Firewalls (experience with firewalls like Palo Alto and Fortinet)
