Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Engineering with a background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience in an engineering firm and demonstrate a proven ability to lead, grow, and develop a high-performing team. This position is crucial for driving the strategic direction, innovation, and operational excellence of our engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Oversee the engineering department, ensuring the growth and development of team members.
Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
Set clear goals and objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
Project Oversight:
Lead and manage large-scale engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Provide technical oversight and support for MEP systems design and implementation.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company’s engineering capabilities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the department.
Contribute to business development efforts by participating in client meetings and presentations.
Technical Expertise:
Serve as the technical expert for MEP systems, providing guidance and support to the team.
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices.
Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
