AirStrip is adding an I nstallation Engineer to the team. The IE is responsible to p erform initial installation, configuration, and testing of AirStrip software at customer sites, completing required installation and validation checklists and documentation for new installations and upgrades as required. This role requires10-20% travel, based on client needs and will additionally work on-call hours as requested. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform initial installation, configuration, and testing of AirStrip Generally Available software at customer sites. Complete required installation and validation checklists and documentation for new installations and upgrades

Participate as project team member with Delivery Project Management Office for installations and work orders. Assist with determination of customer technical architecture and required work to enable Airstrip products to work safely and effectively in customer environment.

Perform updates, upgrades, and patches to Airstrip software in place at customer sites.

Update Salesforce customer server records to establish and maintain meticulous record of all installations and work performed.

As part of the customer support organization, provide Tier 2 support to customers and partners regarding Airstrip and partner software installation and operation, as well as device validation.

Update Salesforce case records when engaged for Tier 2 support in order to carefully document repaired state and actions performed.

Escalate to Tier 3/Development Engineering for issues that cannot be resolved or that appear to be software related.

Provide after hours (24/7/365) installation and support as required by needs of the business.

Engage with Airstrip Development teams to transition new software and software versions into production, including participation in testing, training, and peer mentoring in Tiers 1 & 2.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or professional IT certificate with 4-6 year experience in a system administration / support role

Comp TIA A+certification

Comp TIA Network+, ITIL 4 Foundations, or Microsoft Technology Associate (preferred)

2-4 years of experience performing technical/server support experience or related Healthcare Information Technology experience, including: Interacting with healthcare IT vendors and hospital IT staff on technical issues, and experience leading, managing, or being an escalated resource for other technical staff

2-4 years experience working knowledge of HL7 messaging standard and HL7 interfaces, & DICOM interfaces (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to travel up to 10-20% with some overnights, depending on client activity and project requirements. May travel to corporate offices for meetings and company events.

Familiarity with the purpose and function of: Information systems present in a hospital

Patient Monitoring systems present in a hospital

The purpose and function of an inpatient and/or outpatient EMR

Familiarity with and dedication to quality processes with change management principles

Strong knowledge of/proficiency in: Managing Microsoft Windows Server environments

Installing and configuring software packages,

U se of Text Editor software (notepad++, win merge, etc.)

Change Management methodology

Establishing, testing, and troubleshooting network connectivity including measuring network performance

Application support, troubleshooting, development tools and methodologies

Familiarity with Database & SQL Management and PowerShell scripting

Maintains complete and accurate records of installation activities and customer site specifications

Mentors peers and associated Tier 1 staff, customer staff, and partners to maintain highest standards for Airstrip installations. Willing and able to receive and share knowledge with peers.

The salary range for San Antonio-based applicants for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.

$65,000 - $78,000 base salary, plus bonus potential.
