About the Role:
The Healthcare Business Development Manager (BDM) at Sound Physicians fosters new relationships by prospecting into targeted hospital accounts to identify the needs of c-suite decision makers and presenting the value of Sound's leading nation-wide physician-founded and led medical group services, including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, critical care, anesthesia, and telemedicine.
The Details:
Office-based role with occasional attendance at trade shows and hospital association meetings (up to 10% travel).
Extended periods of sitting and computer work.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
In coordination with Regional Vice Presidents, develop and implement strategic territory prospecting and outreach plans, source and schedule new business initial meetings with C-suite hospital decision makers and create qualified sales opportunities in the sales pipeline.
Research hospital data and performing metrics to identify the needs of target hospital accounts.
Utilize various channels for proactive prospecting including phone, email, LinkedIn Sales
Navigator, and follow up with contacts from medical group conference meetings.
Participate in relevant conferences and trade shows.
Actively cultivate internal physician relationships to pursue referrals that drive sales growth.
Manage inbound leads from marketing and shepherd them through the sales process.
Support the RFP process in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Collaborate with the marketing department and physician leaders in crafting collateral and executing social media strategies.
Conduct follow-up activities after sales meetings, including data collection and follow-up calls.
Consistently meet and exceed sales and business development activities, new meeting, and pipeline expectations.

Experience:
Minimum: 2 years of consistent, verifiable success in business development and sales support within the healthcare industry
Experience in business development and sales within a healthcare environment
Preferred: 3+ years of consistent, verifiable success, in business development and sales support within the healthcare industry while calling on c-suite decision makers and presenting the value of physician group services.
