The City Council is seeking an outstanding leader with a demonstrated track record of success and experience working in a large community. While the individual will understand they work for the Council, the elected officials hope to find someone to work with them as a partner, a supporter, and a trusted advisor. The Manager will be a team player with a strong ability to facilitate relationships with Council Members, City staff, and community and regional partners.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or comparable work experience) in business administration, public administration, public policy, or related field plus ten (10) years of experience as a City Manager, Assistant City Manager or Department Head in a local government organization. A master’s degree in business, public administration or related field is preferred. The individual will have strong experience in capital projects, development, and redevelopment. An understanding of Western water law will be an asset. Experience working in a large community and/or a municipality that has seen tremendous growth, is highly desired.
The salary range is $280,000 to $350,000. The actual salary will depend on qualifications and experience. Benefits are excellent.
