Job Summary
Member of Avyxa Corporation's US Financial Planning and Analysis team. Responsible for managing the profit and loss of the commercial operations in New Jersey, in collaboration with the Corporate office. Generates consolidated reporting and intercompany transactions for legal entities at the month-end close. Provides stakeholders with accurate and timely financial information in compliance with GAAP. As a financial business partner to the US operations staff, accountable for providing financial planning and analytics knowledge and tools to the Oncology Business. Involved in the evaluation of new opportunities and anticipating future market trends. This is a matrix organization environment and reports functionally to the Head of Finance at the Corporate Office.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on financial support to the Business, via P&L analysis and expense management analytics, to manage the business effectively.
Performance/expense management reporting as well as other key actionable metrics as required by the business.
Business partner for Sales and Marketing Management in assessing and modeling new business opportunities.
Coordinate the month-end/quarter-end book close with strict adherence to corporate reporting deadlines and policies with full adherence to GAAP.
Develop robust analysis and report actual sales and expense details results versus the budget/forecast and explain variances for all stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.
Lead audits and statutory compliance for NJ operation.
Provide robust analysis and forecast of gross to net calculations.
Provide analytical, accounting, and reporting support
Support the team with ongoing process improvements for financial planning & reporting tools and systems by meeting with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify opportunities, and develop an implementation strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
Strong GAAP.
CPA, MBA, CMA a plus.
7+ years of Accounting/Finance experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry supporting commercial business.
Passionate in sales modeling with an in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical contracting and discounting preferred.
Ability to use advanced Excel spreadsheet functions and formulas to build and maintain sales and expense forecast models.
Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
Strong management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management throughout the organization.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including senior management.
Hyperion and SAP experience a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Able to prioritize tasks to meet individual and business goals.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
