Job Summary and Qualifications Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the delivery of patient care in the absence of the department director, manager or assistant department manager. Serves as nursing clinical resource person and intervenes in difficult situations or medical crises. Oversees and coordinates the final staffing of the off shifts. Acts as administrative representative, interpreting and enforcing established policies and procedures for all hospital departments. Revisions to the job description and accountabilities may be required due to patient care needs and/or efficient operation of the hospital. You will be advised in writing of any changes. It is also understood that the job description is not all-inclusive, and you may be required to perform other related duties.

What qualifications you will need: B.A. / B.S. / MSN from an accredited School of Nursing preferred

CA RN License

BCLS Certification, ACLS Certification

5-7 Years progressively more responsible related work experience necessary in order to gain comprehensive and current knowledge of organization and operation of hospital nursing department, and be able to resolve staffing and complex patient care issues under minimal direction
