About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Analytical Development to spearhead the CMC Analytical team. The successful candidate will be a scientific thought leader, driving the development and implementation of new methods and assays for the characterization of raw materials, RNA drug substances, and LNP drug products. This role is pivotal in leading and expanding a team of analytical scientists and research associates, with a focus on developing and optimizing analytical assays across various stages of drug development, testing non-GMP samples, and collaborating with R&D and Quality Control teams to transfer and qualify methods.Key responsibilities for this position include enhancing product and process understanding, improving lab management and operations, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective leadership, experience in method development for clinical and commercial products, and a strong background in the characterization of advanced therapies, particularly in gene editing, RNA, and LNP products. Experience with international regulatory interactions and excellent communication skills are essential. A BS in sciences, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, or a related area is required, with an advanced degree preferred, and a minimum of 15 years' of progressive leadership experience.
