About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Climate Center, a role that presents a unique opportunity to drive the discourse and action on the global climate change challenge. The successful candidate will be a senior executive responsible for shaping the strategy of the Climate Center, leading program workstreams, and serving as a key contributor to thought leadership, events, client engagement, and partnerships. This role demands a highly visible presence, with the Executive Director acting as a lead spokesperson on climate and energy topics, and advising clients on advancing their climate plans and strategies. Strategic leadership, industry thought leadership, market strategy and development, and network and relationship development are also key responsibilities.Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of professional engagement in climate-related topics, with recognized expertise in one or more aspects of climate change mitigation or adaptation. Experience as a senior leader in a climate-focused role, particularly within a federal agency, government, nonprofit, or energy utility, is preferred. The role requires a demonstrated track record in writing, public speaking, and engaging with the media on climate and environment-related issues, as well as a reputation for strong emotional intelligence, critical thinking, creativity, and integrity. The Executive Director will work in close collaboration with the company's senior leaders and Chief Marketing Officer to support the Climate Center's goals and must be adept at driving outcomes through a combination of authority and influence.
