Inpatient Pharmacist (per diem)

Description:
This pharmacist will be responsible for all medication verification/distribution and clinical activities. The candidate should also have knowledge of automated medication distribution systems, USP797 and the ability to prepare intravenous medication utilizing aseptic technique. The successful candidate should possess good communication skills, including the ability to interact successfully with other colleagues to ensure efficient and safe distribution of medications. Ability to promote teamwork is essential.
There is a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and 2-3 holidays/year commitment with this position and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Prepares and dispenses medications and other pharmaceutical supplies, using standard professional procedures to fill written or verbal physician orders.
Performs all duties of a pharmacist providing professional and ethical service to the patients and employees of the hospital.
Adheres to all departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
PA Licensed Registered Pharmacist
Bachelor's Degree
