**BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES**
Lead, manage and coordinate all aspects and goals and objectives in Health and Safety (EHS) and Process Safety Management (PSM). Perform the various duties required to oversee the development, management and implementation of a facility EHS program to ensure regulatory compliance as mandated by local, state and federal agencies including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other regulatory agencies. Develop or assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the facility. Conduct risk assessments to help the leadership prioritize initiatives, strategies, and action plans for the identification and analysis of risk related information. Ensure compliance to Health and Safety regulations and verify that records are maintained and. prepared according to established guidelines. Act as advisor to plant EHS team(s) (includes Plant Safety Committee)regarding projects, tasks and operations. Oversees the development and presentation of Health and Safety training programs. Responsible for the development & implementation of the facility Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation programs. Coordinates these activities with the Fire Marshall. Monitor and evaluate the EHS Management System effectiveness and effect change required for improvement. Performs other duties as assigned.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
Develop and implement programs and procedures to meet division objectives and targets in EHS. Key focus points include: Accident prevention, EHS/PSM Regulatory Compliance, Management Systems 18001,Support and manage corrective actions from Corporate EHS audits. Direct all applicable EHS reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain necessary EHS records. Ensure compliance with corporate EHS metrics, plans and goals. **EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS** [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily]
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, preferably EHS (extensive experience with certificate programs, seminars may be substituted for degree)
**TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
A strong working knowledge of EHS regulations. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Ergonomics and behavior based safety a plus. 5+ years of applicable experience.
