The BSN Sports Avenue K Warehouse Tam is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Vertical Lift Module (VLM) Pick Specialist to join our warehouse team. The VLM Pick Specialist will be responsible for operating vertical lift modules to pick, store, and manage inventory accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work hours for this shift are Monday-Friday from 8:00pm until 4:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:
Operate VLM Equipment: Efficiently operate vertical lift modules to pick and store items based on order requirements.
Order Picking: Accurately pick items from the VLM according to pick lists and customer orders, ensuring correct quantities and items are selected.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by updating the system with stock movements and changes.
Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
Efficiency: Optimize picking routes and storage strategies within the VLM to improve efficiency and reduce picking time.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating the VLM and handling inventory.
Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of picks, stock levels, and any issues encountered during operations.
Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with specific experience operating vertical lift modules preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software using RF scan guns.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic mechanical skills for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the VLM.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with lean warehouse practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working at heights and in varying temperature conditions.
Working Conditions: The role may require working in shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on operational needs.
The warehouse environment may be subject to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
