As we scale rapidly across both private label and branded businesses, we’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Controller to lead and elevate our finance operations. If you’ve mastered NetSuite and have Food CPG experience—we want to hear from you.

About the Role We’re seeking a Controller to lead financial operations for Algro International from our Irvine headquarters . You’ll oversee accounting, reporting, and compliance, while also improving systems and controls for a fast-scaling food CPG business with global supply chains.

This is a critical leadership role , requiring deep understanding of Food CPG accounting and strong NetSuite ERP experience .

Key Responsibilities Own all aspects of accounting and month-end close

Manage AP/AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations

Maintain and optimize NetSuite ERP workflows and reports

Produce accurate and timely financial statements, forecasts, and dashboards

Oversee tax filings, compliance, and coordination with external tax advisors and auditors

Support inventory accounting, landed cost tracking, and COGS analysis

Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and sales for cross-functional alignment

Build and maintain internal controls, documentation, and SOPs

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

Manage finance team and external accounting resources

What You Bring 7+ years in finance/accounting in the food or CPG industry

Must have hands-on NetSuite experience (not just user-level)

Strong understanding of inventory and import-related accounting

CPA preferred but not required

Excellent communicator, analytical thinker, and team player

Hands-on, systems thinker with startup hustle and enterprise discipline

Excel / Google Sheets pro; bonus for BI tools or dashboard experience

Must be based in or willing to relocate to Irvine, CA (on-site)
