We are seeking a Telecommunication Technician to join our team of passionate individuals in Columbia, Maryland. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the nation’s security and intelligence mission.
Responsibilities:
+ Analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems.
+ Resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes. Load and configure cloud servers and vendor (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) or white box routers and switches.
+ Support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services.
+ Act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed

**Here’s what you’ll need** :
+ Experience with network planning for telecommunications switches
+ Experience with conducting integration and system level testing of telecommunications systems or platforms
+ Experience with Kubernetes
+ Experience with Cisco, Juniper or equivalent networking equipment
+ Experience with VMWare, QEMU, KVM, or Docker
+ Experience with Linux or OpenStack
+ Knowledge of telephony and telecommunication
+ Knowledge of networking services
+ Knowledge of software defined networking
Clearance Required:
+ TS/SCI w/Poly
Minimum Education:
+ HS diploma or GED
Minimum Years of Experience:
+ 14 years of experience with providing technical support for the engineering and testing of complex software and hardware systems in the communication field
Preferred:
+ Cisco CCNA or equivalent preferred
+ RHCSA preferred
