Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. In this role, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing custom engineering and development. This role will primarily focus on developing front-end, improved UX solutions to support the Identity and Access Management platform. Experience as an I.T. or security engineer are key skills for this role. Responsibilities

Work with application and infrastructure teams to develop and implement security best practices

Implements and supports security solutions and technologies to protect data/assets from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, destruction, modification, or disruption.

Provides project leadership, security oversight, and risk management on security projects.

Sets security design guidelines, frameworks, and models

Work to identify new security issues and risks and is involved in developing mitigation plans.

Helps identify and document security objectives.

Participates in projects that develop new intellectual property

Trains/mentors members of the team.

Build relationships and trust across the organization.

Evaluates and recommends new and emerging security products and technologies.

Works to develop and interpret security policies and procedures.

Leads the building, deployment, and maintenance of security tools utilized by the IAM program.

Proactively seeks solutions to mitigate risk and clearly communicate risks to the appropriate stakeholders.

This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Basic Qualifications

Typically a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Typically five or more years of relevant experience

Advanced technical and functional subject matter expert knowledge across security domain areas

Experience Should Include

5+ years experience with development languages - specifically JavaScript, NodeJS, and SQL for front end development

3+ years of experience working with DevOps teams and CI/CD pipelines to support Infrastructure as Code or IAM as Code.

2+ years experience in the IAM domain

1+ years experience as a team leader

Proven ability to work autonomously and take ownership of issue analysis and resolution efforts

Professional verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills/Experience

Knowledge of Information Security domains

Experience mentoring other team members
