Overview: As a Project Manager specializing in Furniture Installation & Relocation, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating various projects related to budgeting, scheduling, bidding, and installation of new furniture, as well as reconfiguration projects. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, alliance partners, and internal/external vendors to meet project needs while maintaining excellent communication throughout the process. You'll oversee project performance in terms of cost, quality, safety, delivery, and sales, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate budgeting, scheduling, bidding, and installing new furniture projects.

Determine project scope, coordinate resources, and work closely with clients and partners to meet project needs.

Lead and manage project performance in terms of cost, quality, safety, delivery, and sales.

Maintain effective organizational structure by delegating authority, assigning responsibilities, and holding team members accountable.

Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings when required.

Maintain liaison relationships with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.

Prepare cost estimates, contracts, purchase requisitions, and budgets for assigned projects.

Coordinate overall direction of installation work across multiple projects and facilities.

Monitor and control projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget.

Resolve and approve all project scope, schedule, budget, and process changes.

Review completed projects to identify areas for improvement and recognize exemplary performance.

Complete final punch lists with customers and resolve outstanding issues to their satisfaction.

Provide direction and leadership for project success utilizing lean methodologies and standard work procedures.

Demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying information accurately and listening effectively to resolve problems.

Follow all prescribed safety rules and procedures to prevent workplace injuries and support company safety goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Effective management, coaching, and performance management skills.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

High level of financial ability and understanding of financial reports and concepts.

Ability to work with teams at all levels in a collaborative environment.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong knowledge of furniture and facility management.

Qualifications: A degree in construction, engineering, or project management is preferred.

3 to 5 years of experience in project management or furniture installation work.

Ability to work with customer/vendor teams to implement multi-phased projects.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Previous continuous improvement/Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred.
