Job Summary: The Rotating Equipment Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for various types of rotating equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, field service teams, and internal engineering departments to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our clients' equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and engines.
Conduct detailed equipment inspections to assess condition, identify potential issues, and recommend preventive maintenance actions.
Perform equipment alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external vendors to develop solutions for complex technical challenges.
Prepare detailed service reports, documenting work performed, equipment status, and recommendations for further action.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical advice and support.
Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Travel to client sites, often on short notice, and work flexible hours to meet project deadlines and customer needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
At least 3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or engineering of rotating equipment.
Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and engines.
Proficiency in equipment alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel frequently and work in various industrial environments.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and other documentation.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.
Certifications in relevant technical areas, such as vibration analysis, alignment, or maintenance.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to rotating equipment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in industrial environments.
