Job Responsibilities
* Assist project teams, database teams and development teams in the setting up of new replication requests
* Provide operational support for replication technologies
* Provide assistance and training to database teams regarding replication technologies
* Work with vendors to troubleshoot replication issues as needed
* Test new releases and patches provided by vendors
* Support migrations from legacy replication technologies to new technologies
* Confer with application owners, users, and other engineers to collect requirements for replication enhancements
* Provide on call support
Job Skills and Qualifications
* Required:
* overall 7 years of IT experience
* 3-5 years' experience supporting database or replication technologies especially QLIK replicate
* Linux Shell scripting and Windows Power Shell scripting
* Experience with Oracle, SQL Server or other database technologies
* Previous experience administering databases in an enterprise environment
* Personal attributes: adaptable, change agent, collaborative, results driven, accountability oriented.
* Understand the cross-functional interdependencies with and across IT communities. Adjust communication style based on target audience.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, quick moving environment
* Ability to work off-hours
* Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
* Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
* Strong problem solving skills
* Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
* Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
* Skilled to collaborate with Cross-functional, business units, application developers and integration teams.
