We are currently looking for a skilled strategic Communications Specialist who can support and advance strategic communications and stakeholder outreach efforts. Primarily responsibilities include drafting, editing and producing various insights-based communications products for a wide-array of stakeholders. The Communications Specialist is responsible for ensuring communications materials succinctly condense technical information in plain English, conveys the “so what,” and are tailored to our audiences. This role will routinely and effectively manage multiple communications products, including a monthly newsletter, from concept to completion, and liaise with graphic design staff. Additional responsibilities include maintaining client communications content calendar, distribution lists, and communications templates; responding to mailbox inquiries; hosting occasional briefings; and supporting ad hoc communications input and materials requests.

**Role Responsibilities:**

+ Point person for drafting thought leadership, enumerating priorities, summarizing ongoing work, and suggesting areas for engagement with cross-cutting stakeholders.

+ Support development of strategic communications plans, such as yearly reports and the launch and updates of a new analytics platform, along with other email campaigns.

+ Ability to write clearly and succinctly for a variety of audiences, and to edit client materials, including press releases, briefing materials, and opinion pieces, often under deadline pressure.

+ Maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders, quickly become familiar with their issues and goals, and share promising strategies and lessons learned through newsletters, and other outlets.

**Skill and Education Requirements:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in English, Journalism, or Communications

+ 3+ years of experience as a Communications Specialist.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to QA content for errors and accuracy

+ Experience condensing and translating technical information into succinct, easily understandable content.

+ Able to collaborate with and influence clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to build consensus

+ Understanding of and familiarity with research methods, data and analytics, and campaign monitoring and evaluation.

+ Experience managing in and comfortable managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

+ Must hold at minimum an interim Secret clearance

+ Willing to be on site 1-2 times per week

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of **California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia** . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
