About the team
Large Credit Risk actively manage the contingent credit risk exposure generated by our customers from their card and alternative payment processing activity.
What you will be doing
Working out of our London office as part of the EMEA team, you will be primarily responsible for either the initial underwriting of new customers or the end-to-end credit risk management of existing merchants within an assigned portfolio.
This will involve performing financial assessments of large corporates, analyzing and implementing credit strategies whilst engaging with commercial and other stakeholders.
Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to projects that improve our operational efficiency or improve credit risk knowledge amongst the wider business.
* Manage the credit analysis and implementation of strategy on complex credit deals whilst managing external stakeholders
* Leading the management of distressed credit cases and insolvency scenarios
* Work closely with the Legal team, negotiating and reviewing bespoke contracts
* Presenting proposals to senior leaders / executives
* Respond to client specific alerts and/or trigger events as required and implement necessary actions
* Participate in our continuous improvement process by identifying and implementing process change
* Undertake ad-hoc tasks in support of the overall aim of managing credit risk exposure
What you bring:
* You will have a minimum of 10yrs experience in a credit risk/financial analysis role
* Experience of leading the management of distressed credit cases and insolvency scenarios
* An ability to formulate and implement solutions for new opportunities or challenging financial distress scenarios
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to senior leaders
* An ability to prioritize competing tasks, work autonomously and to sometimes tight deadlines
Added bonus if you have:
* Experience of working under your own delegated authority
* Previous experience within the payments industry / corporate banking
* European foreign languages
