Summary:

Theprimary dutiesoftheMaintenance Technicianareto perform highly diversified dutiestoinstall,troubleshoot,repair,and maintain production and facility equipment according tosafety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes tosupport the success of the site's business goals and objectives.

  • Inspect,operate,ortestmachineryorequipmenttodiagnosemachine malfunctions.
  • Perform routinemaintenance, such asinspecting drives, motors, orbelts,checkingfluid levels,replacing filters, ordoing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Diagnose mechanical problemsand determinehow tocorrectthem,checking blueprints, repairmanuals,orparts catalogs, as necessary.
  • Repairmachines, equipment,orstructures, usingtoolssuch ashammers, hoists,saws, drills, wrenches, orequipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
  • Maintainorrepairspecializedequipmentormachinerylocatedinofficesor factories.
  • Cleanorlubricateshafts,bearings,gears,orotherpartsof machinery.
  • Adjustfunctionalpartsofdevicesorcontrolinstruments,usinghandtools,levels,plumb bobs,or straightedges.
  • Orderparts,supplies,orequipmentfromcatalogsor suppliers.
  • Planand layoutrepairwork,using diagrams,drawings,blueprints,maintenancemanuals,orschematic diagrams.
  • Performgeneralcleaningdutiesofbuildings or properties.

  • Operatecuttingtorchesorweldingequipmenttocutorjoinmetal parts.

  • Performroutinemaintenance,such asreplacing burnersorhoses,installingreplacement parts,orreinforcingstructural weaknesses to ensure efficiency.
  • Setupandoperatemachinetoolstorepairorfabricatemachineparts,jigs,fixtures,or tools.
  • Alignandbalancenewequipmentafter installation.
  • Providegrounds keepingservices,suchaslandscapingorsnow removal.
  • Inspect used partstodeterminechanges indimensional requirements,using rules,calipers, micrometers, orothermeasuring instruments.
  • Fabricateorrepaircounters,benches,partitions,orother woodenstructures, suchasshedsor outbuildings.
  • Position,attach,orblowinsulatingmaterialstopreventenergylossesfrombuildings,pipes,orotherstructuresor objects.
  • Estimatecoststorepairmachinery,equipment,orbuilding structures.
