The Platform & Infrastructure Security Team is responsible for developing tools and implementing technical controls in support of the platforms and infrastructure used in the Workday product. We deliver security services, tools, and automated controls across the various platforms in Workday’s production infrastructure. Our team provides guidance and helps to improve our infrastructure security. The Platform & Infrastructure Security Team is responsible for developing tools and implementing technical controls in support of the platforms and infrastructure used in the Workday product. We deliver security services, tools, and automated controls across the various platforms in Workday’s production infrastructure. Our team provides guidance and helps to improve our infrastructure security. The most valuable contributions you will make are those that address common security issues systematically and at scale through frameworks, tooling and automation. About the Role
Do you have a passion for security? The infrastructure cybersecurity engineering team is responsible for building, deploying and operating security tooling, as well as providing consulting to service teams. Inherent to the role is an ability to develop using industry standard languages. Innovation and creativity are heavily emphasized upon and encouraged at Workday to combat an ever evolving threat landscape. We build and support tools, processes and standards which form a critical part of the threat defense capabilities of Workday. Having an infrastructure presence in both public and private cloud s, the team is repeatedly challenged in new ways to improve existing toolchains and build new ones. Candidates for this role should have an analytical and problem solving approach, capability to learn new skills, comfortable with accepting feedback and able to work well with a team.
About You
Basic Qualifications 2+ years in security domains such as infrastructure security, cloud security, security engineering
2+ years of experience with linux systems
2+ years of experience with supporting operations with automated tools
Other Qualifications Good understanding of Kubernetes
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development
Exposure to git and source code repositories
Experience deploying with CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to concept of threat modelling
Experience contributing to security policies or security standards
A working understanding of network, application, storage and orchestration platform security tools and concepts
Exposure to compliance frameworks like NIST 800-53, SOC II or CSF2.0

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
