Based in community settings, Residential CareSpecialists assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitieslearn new skills, exercise choices and achieve their life goals. RCSs support independence and communityinclusion for people across a broad spectrum of ability and specializedneeds. Provide hands-on supportassisting with all areas including personal hygiene, meal preparation,medication monitoring, daily household chores, and support in the community. Ensures the physical and emotional needs ofindividuals are met. Works a designatedshift and/or on an "as needed" basis in an assigned residential grouphome under the direct supervision of the Team Leader or Designee. This position requires the employee to beable to commute and transport clients to a variety of locations within thecommunity and surrounding communities. This is an hourly position with no guarantee of set number of hours.
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience Required: Social or Home Living experiences.
PositionRequirements: Valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, andinsurable through PermiaCare. Required to pass criminal history and backgroundchecks as well as pre-employment drug screen.
Full Time/Part Time: Part-time position
Salary: $13.50 per hour. $1000 sign on bonus.
