This important role within Beverage R&D enables Keurig Dr Pepper to maximize the impact of the Keurig system synergy (beverage, pod, and appliance) to partners, customers, and consumers. The Associate Scientist will:

1. Lead Breakthrough Beverage Development driving new technologies as part of the innovation funnel

2. Generate ideas for beverage and system innovation working with consumer insights, marketing, and appliance teams

3. Act as a key Beverage R&D representative assuring beverage requirements and quality considerations are included in Appliance and Beverage Innovation

4. Advances the business by strengthening collaboration between R&D and Innovation teams, while driving consumer led innovation with sound scientific method and technical excellence

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**

This role is multifaceted, and will balance hands on formulation, product and process research on related enabling technologies, project management, participation/support in consumer science analysis and interpretation, experimental test method development, data analysis, and intense collaboration with cross-functional teams, specifically marketing, processing, and packaging teams.

**Responsibilities include:**

+ Drive development for new beverages and systems against the innovation pipeline

+ Effectively collaborate with external partners to drive technical research

+ Rapid prototype generation and testing (physical, analytical, sensorial attributes); data recording and analysis; create and maintain specifications; maintain lab equipment

+ Development of experimental plans with appliance, packaging and manufacturing teams to test new technologies, assess feasibility and consumer test new ideas

+ Create and drive timelines, actions plans, reports, and presentations to manage and communicate progress on a given initiative

+ Educate cross functional partners on technical and scientific principles as necessary

+ Represent beverage technical considerations including quality, sensory characteristics, stability, food safety, manufacturability, and functionality in appliance, package and manufacturing initiatives- prepare and deliver effective recommendations

+ Active participant in innovation brainstorm sessions as well as funnel current and developing trends to project teams

+ Positively influence and engage in a creative, performance driven culture
