Body Shop Customer Service Rep

East Hills, NY, United States

Job Summary:

The Body Shop Customer Service Representative at Morris Ford in Burnt Hills, New York is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients who come in for body work on their vehicles. As an individual contributor, the Body Shop Customer Service Representative will be the main point of contact for customers throughout the repair process and will work closely with body shop technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs.

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation for this position is $17 to $19 per hour, paid weekly. Employees also have access to company benefits including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and assist with check-in process for vehicle repairs

- Review repair orders and explain the process to customers

- Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters as needed

- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized service schedule

- Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicle repairs

- Ensure all necessary parts and materials are ordered for repairs

- Coordinate with body shop technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs

- Address any customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner

- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records

- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous customer service experience, preferably in the auto industry

- Knowledge of basic automotive repairs and terminology

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient computer skills
