CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician in our Frisco, Fort Worth or Lubbock office.

The successful candidates most important qualifications include:

2+ years of Air and Hydro Vacuum Excavation (SUE Locating) experience preferred.

Must successfully pass the pre-employment process to include: Background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record.

Ability to research and review utility company records and identify utilities from field observation.

Ability to read and interpret TxDOT and municipal plans.

Understanding of utility construction methods.

Knowledge and experience with utility line locating equipment (SUE Designating).

Capable of making field decisions without direct supervision.

Excellent communication skills and a team attitude.

CDL preferred, but not required.

Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.

Desire to collaborate with professionals and clients to increase your industry knowledge and grow in your career.

Commitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards to achieve department and company goals.

Interest in developing relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations to remain a trusted resource in the community.

Essential Functions:

Locate underground utilities through nondestructive methods.

Record and document the underground utility field data in accordance with CAD standard formats.

Must operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.

Perform independent research and adapt changing priorities.

Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error free.

Adhere to CobbFendley’s safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.

Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.

Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations.

Repeated motions (e.g., typing, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying).

Communication with other employees and clients.

Environmental Factors:

Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments (approximately 90% of duties to be performed outdoors in the field and 10% performed indoors in the office/warehouse).

Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions (i.e., hot and freezing temperatures).

Driving for extended periods of time.

Use of electric powered tools, cutting tools and other equipment.

Potential watercraft use.

Noise exposure.

Exposure to allergens including but not limited to poison ivy, sumac, dust, pollen, cedar, etc.

Entering confined spaces.

Exposure to construction and traffic work zones.

Extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST/local time zone.

This position may include the need for overtime hours.
