As an Engineer, you will apply your years of industry expertise and experience as you work independently on large-scale projects and anticipate business trends. You will collaborate with others to identify and develop innovative services or processes that address current and future customer needs and recommend improvements. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver presentations to leaders and may supervise team members in their work!

Day in the Life:

As a Regulatory Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing regulatory compliance support for the enterprise, which means staying up to date on regulatory rule changes, interpretations, and FAQ’s to keep Williams procedures and practices current. You'll collaborate with industry peers to provide feedback on rule changes and participate in research studies and projects. Internally, you'll work with cross functional groups across Williams to provide regulatory guidance and code as well as update procedures and other documents to stay current. Additionally, you may support regulatory inspections as needed.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

+ Performs sophisticated technical tasks and leads teams in projects of major scope and complexity

+ Participates in the development and implementation of technical standards and specifications

+ Interprets technological aspects of business and coordinates with leaders to ensure success

+ Prepares and delivers presentations

+ Applies expertise, knowledge and experience from projects that positively impacts earnings

+ Collaborates with others to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs

+ Handles resources requirements for projects

+ Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

+ Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

Other Requirements:

Able to work on engineering specialties covering more than one subject area

+ Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

+ Preferred: PE Certification

+ Preferred: Project Management experience

+ Preferred: Proven understanding of DOT 192 & 195 regulations

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

+ Ability to travel up to 20% as needed
